What I Did

I owned the full event lifecycle — from initial concept through post-event wrap. That meant vendor selection and contract management, budget oversight across events ranging from $1,000 to $35,000, and coordination across Student Center departments to align programming, catering, AV/technical support, and space setup. On the marketing side, I developed event identities and ran promotional campaigns across digital, print, and in-building signage channels. On event day, I managed execution on the ground and ensured the brand experience held from first impression to last.

How It Worked

Every event was a cross-functional production. My job was to hold it all together.

Before

Concept development, vendor sourcing and selection, budget planning, promotional campaign build-out across digital and print, inter-departmental coordination for catering, AV, and facilities, and timeline management from kickoff to load-in.

During

On-site production management, vendor oversight, real-time problem solving, staff coordination, and maintaining the event experience for 750+ attendees across multiple simultaneous activations.

After

Post-event debrief, budget reconciliation, vendor feedback, and documentation for future planning cycles. Flagship events became institutional templates — repeatable, scalable, and ours.

Flagship Events

These weren't one-offs. Each became a signature program — a recurring community moment that students planned around and the institution pointed to.

Super Bowl Watch Party

Annual watch party with tailgate pregame, live viewing, halftime programming, and giveaways. One of the highest-attended recurring events in the ESC calendar.

Homecoming Unity Gala

Formal celebration anchored in community and belonging. Required full venue transformation, catering management, entertainment booking, and coordinated promotional rollout.

ESC 5-Year Celebration

Milestone institutional event marking five years of the Emory Student Center. Blended entertainment with storytelling about the building's impact on campus life.

Presidents' Institute 2024

Leadership development event for student organization presidents. Coordinated programming, space setup, and materials across a full-day multi-session format.
